Known Family/Friends:
- Kai Nakahara - Father - Deceased - She hated him in life, and holds fast to that sentiment. She visited his grave only once, so that she could tell him what she truly thought of him without fear of his reaction.
- Akane Nakahara - Mother - Alive - Her mother was placed in prison just after she entered high school. She hates the woman as much as father.
- --- Nakahara -Elder sister - Alive - Strained, mostly because her sister never did anything to intervene even after she was old enough to leave them, and did. She feels abandoned by her.
- -- Nakahara - Elder brother --Alive - Strained for much the same reasons as her sister, though it stings a bit more. She had adored her brother as a child. He was her hero.
- Kane Nakahara - Uncle - Alive - The man tried taking her in after her parents passed away. She had a feeling he had something to do with it, but she can't prove it. She very much dislikes the man, for much the same reasons as her parents. He's a criminal and scum. She declined his offers, and collected the money her parents had hidden throughout the house and made a life for herself elsewhere.

Personality: Ryoko hates a lot of things, and is bitter with the world. She's sarcastic and has a hard time relating with other people. She is unsympathetic to complaints of other whether she finds them valid or not. Her teachers and many of her peers see her as lazy, and she works hard to keep up that smoke screen. It means they don't ask questions. She has a tendency to snap back at anything that annoys her. She has very little tolerance for people who want her to change, or think there is something wrong with her.
She can be argumentative, and is quick to stand up for what she believes in. Whether that be with her fists or her words. Whichever the situation calls for. She is very loyal when she finds people to actually care for, but keeps them at arms length. She does this while simultaneously making sure they are safe and cared for even if she won't let them know outright that it was her.
Ryoko has no problem with hurting people, but only when she feels they deserve it. When there is no other choice but to hurt someone or be killed, or when the choice is between hurt someone else or let someone she cares for get hurt.

History: Ryoko thought everything was fine when she was very small. Of course, why wouldn't she? It was all she had ever known. Not to mention her elder siblings sheltered her from as much of the fallout as possible. Her parents were criminals, whether they were part of a gang or worked on their own she never really knew, but she knew that much. They also fought a lot. Usually screaming at each other, but sometimes with their hands. She knew she wasn't supposed to have seen the latter, but she never told her siblings.
As she got older things only got worse. Her sister left their home when she was only nine, the woman was almost ten years older than her so she wasn't surprised. Her brother still protected her from most of the unsavory things. Even if it meant he came back with a black and blue face, or limping. She had become a positive force in their household as she got older. Starting to take care of her brother when he was too hurt. Dragging her mother to bed when she drank herself into a stupor, even if the woman's stature dwarfed her. Of course, these things only worked against her in the end. She was sweet and nice and cute. It meant she wasn't suspicious.
Drug runs were easy enough, though she hadn't known what they were when she started. Her parents did the dealing, and gave her the package, and she delivered. She was lucky at first. No one seemed to question her presence or threaten her. It changed later. Her father shorted a customer, whether it was on purpose or because of his alcohol induced stupor she would never really know. She came back home with a broken jaw and a knife wound. It was then her brother decided to put a stop to her involvement in these things, and that was when she realized what kind of people her parents were, that it wasn't normal. Especially when she got to do her own stitches because her father refused to pay any hospital bills. Her face was explained at school as she fell out of a tree in her backyard. Which was believable enough. She was a rowdy kid at school, always finding places she shouldn't be in.
She was in middle school when her brother disappeared as well. In the middle of the night without a goodbye. But by then she started sleeping with a knife in her bedroom. Not that her parents paid her much attention anymore. When they were around they were in such drunken stupors she doubted they even recognized her. She'd find one or both of them passed out in the entryhall, the kitchen, the bathroom, when she got home from school and pulled them out of her way and got back to her business.
She had just entered high school when a couple of well-dressed men stepped into their home. Ryoko was sitting in the living room eating bits of candy she'd received from one of her friends. They had broken into her home, and asked where her parents were. She assumed they were clients, or employers. It didn't matter. It wasn't abnormal. She waved them into the direction of the back of the house. With a curt nod they entered the house further. There was no noise until a gun shot rang out, followed by her mother's shrill scream though it was quickly cut off by another shot. Police were there quickly, but there wasn't much they could do even with the descriptions she game. Her uncle came by and offered her a place with them, but he was just as bad as her father. She declined, and ran away. Using the little knowledge she had from her parent's dealings to change a few official documents to transfer schools, and the money they'd hidden in the house to pay for an apartment.
She's been rather cold and distant ever since, working at nights , and attending classes during the day. She works hard in classes even if it doesn't seem that way. She hopes to get a scholarship to go to college when she graduates, so she decided to actually put effort into after-school activities this year. Even if it was a little late.
