Personality: Dante is a laid back soft of boy that adjusts to his environment fairly well. He certainly isn't the type to hold grudges of any sort and lets most things just roll off of his back. Dante is very loyal and will listen to what anyone has to say to him. He is really good at playing the piano and keyboards because he was taught very well by his own father, which he enjoys to do a lot whenever he is in the mood. Dante is very eager to please other people to the point that he is very easily manipulated by them. The albino is always wearing his heart on his sleeve whenever he is around others, and is very afraid of being cast aside and ignored. Being from the United States, he has a thick American accent and he is obsessed over; anime, manga, and videogames to the point that he could actually have intellectual conversations about them like analyzing the symbolism behind different plot arcs. The albino is afflicted with a slight perversion that causes him to drool, nosebleed, and/or blush every time he sees a shirtless attractive male with muscles.
History: Dante was born in Los Angeles, California with white hair and blood red irises, he also eventually grew teeth that were very similar in shape to a shark's. These genetic anomalies really made him stand out in crowds and he soon found out that his teeth scared away others that weren't familiar to him. As a result, he had to learn to hide his teeth with a grin or a frown to make everyone else more comfortable in elementary school and junior high. The albino really didn't have a lot of friends growing up besides whatever he had in the music club. Since he spent a lot of his time alone to himself due to a lack of friends, he took solace in anime, manga, and videogames as an escape from his mostly mundane reality. Dante became a prodigy with the piano by the time he entered junior high school because of the fact his father had been teaching it to him since he was five years-old.
After graduating from junior high school, his father had a concert to perform in Tokyo, Japan at the time and they ended up spending it as a family vacation. The small family unit took an airplane from the L.A. airport to the Tokyo airport. Dante was surprised by the aesthetics in the city, which was much unlike anything he had ever seen. It had been everything he had hoped it would be if not more. His parents got a nice rental car with insurance and also had put in reservations for the weekend in a four star hotel. The first two days were spent touring the city and taking in the culture, and Dante found it very easy to conform to the Japanese culture and lifestyle during his stay. After all, he thought that his stay in Japan would only be temporary because it was a vacation.
On the third night, his father performed at the concert very well and they headed home after his father signed autographs. The drive back to the hotel was expected to be normal, but it was far from it. There apparently was a gang fight going on, which resulted in a stray bullet broke through the driver side window and pierced his father's skull. Dante's father was killed instantly by the incident with his mother screaming frantically as the car accelerated well past the speed limit before it hit a speed bump and the albino suddenly blacked out as the car completely flipped over. When Dante came to, he could hear what sounded like police sirens and complete silence aside from the hiss of the engine. Dante awoke to blood filling his mouth with a growing unbearable pain like he had been cut diagonally from over his heart and all the way down to his waistline. He found the pain paralyzing as fragments of glass were imbedded into his skin with cuts all over his face and arms. All Dante could do was remain where he was and mentally pray that he would be saved as his consciousness once again faded away once more with heavy eyelids and tears.
When the albino awoke again, all he could see was a bright white light before it dimmed and the room came into focus. He supposed he had been taken to the ER to close up his wounds and stop the bleeding. Dante had been administered with potent antibiotics and painkillers to numb the pain, but it still ached him numbly with his whole head dizzy to the point it made him nauseous. It was at this time that a nurse helped him drink his cranberry juice to combat his symptom of blood weakness. Dante was forced to stay at the hospital until his wounds healed, but he didn't mind it much since everyone there treated him so well. Dante eventually went into rehabilitation before the doctor finally gave him the release to live with his uncle near Iwatobi. His uncle had already done the work to get the albino a student visa to go to Samezuka Academy for the next three years until he figured out if he wanted to stay in Japan and become a citizen of the country, or move back to the states. Currently, he is in his first year at Samezuka and he lives with his uncle.
