Kept on the inside
Sometimes a shadow wins The later the night got, the more Reeve's shivering intensified. It wasn't all that surprising that he was so cold considering he was sitting out at the edge of the dock, legs criss-crossed, near the water. It was always cooler near the water and after dark. It was nearly one in the morning now, but Reeve still didn't feel like going home. He knew he should have, because it was doubtful his mother had even bothered to feed herself, but it was so late that she was probably passed out by now anyways. That is, if she'd even bothered to come home at all from the bar or perhaps a lover's house. It really worried him that he didn't really care all that much whether she'd eaten or not tonight.
The fact that he didn't care made him fear that he wasn't currently acting like himself. Which wasn't entirely true. He was acting like himself. He was just acting like his other self. Reeve Kasamatsu, the kind, anxiety-ridden, and considerate version, was taking a break. A different side of him had taken control, entirely different, but still a product of the same boy's mind. Only, the more innocent Reeve was still pretty aware of what was going on. Though he knew he should have been headed home, his dangerous self wasn't going to let his legs start moving anytime soon.
Reeve leaned forward, staring down at his reflection brought on by the moonlight on top of the dark water. His smile was sharp and a lot more threatening then it would have normally been if he had felt completely sane. In fact, Reeve didn't even recognize that what he was looking at was himself anymore. He only saw a monster, one that he would stab through the heart if he had the courage when he was still in control. He felt like he was hyperventilating inside, suffocating, but he still couldn't throw his good self back behind the wheel. Reeve laughed out loud. "Stop fighting, ya' little brat, or I'll drown anything that's left of you," he spoke into the water. His current outer self was scolding the boy trapped inside, very much aware of all the wiggling he was doing in attempt to free himself.

It was just like his mother to forget about the sweets she promised him. After he had scored higher on the math exam than she had said he needed to. Nagisa being the little sweets eater he was made a little bet with his dear mother. If he got at least a seventy on his last history exam she would buy him sweets. Yet the exam was a few days ago and yet he had no sweets to show for his good study habits. Thankfully he had a bit of money left over from his job.
The streets deserted like a ghost town from the numerous movies he had seen. That what was a bit more exciting for the fiery blonde that he felt like he was in some horror movie. Nagisa chewed away happily at the sweets that he had tucked away under his arm. Like before he decided to take the route that went through the docks. Only because he would be later getting back which was always exciting to him. His mother deserved to worry a bit for forgetting about his sweets.
The cold air felt good against his skin as he stepped down the wooden stairs. Taking each step slowly to fully enjoy the feeling of being outside. Nagisa was one of those people that got cold too easily. It had to be winter and snowing before he bothered to wear any sort of long sleeve shirt. Instead he found himself clad in a orange tank top and green shorts. Not what he usually wore but he didn't feel like wearing his school uniform out.
Oddly enough when it was usually deserted he noticed something weird. As he stopped to get another sweet from the bag he caught a glimpse of white hair out the corner of his eye. Warm childlike eyes glanced at the end of the docks at the figure. What was somebody doing chilling at the docks at night? Was it somebody homeless? His mother always said be careful of strangers but what harm could it be? Instead he changed directions and headed towards the edge of the dock. A few seconds later he stood behind the guy and glanced over his shoulder. Seeing their reflections together in the water he thought the guy knew he was there.
"What chu doing~"

Kept on the inside
Sometimes a shadow wins A reflection appeared in the water next to Reeve's own. If Reeve was being his normal self, he would have probably been so startled that he would've screamed and fallen straight into the water or something like that. Reeve wish more so that he was his usual self right now at just the sight of the boy's image in the water. His normal self was shy, but also incredibly nice and harmless. The monster that had taken over wasn't quite so friendly. It was cruel and heartless.
What stung the kind Reeve inside more than anything was that he recognized the boy from practices. School hadn't been going on too far, and Reeve barely looked up enough to see anyone's face, but he was pretty sure that this was an upperclassman on the same Swim Team. He was going to make a bad impression. He wasn't himself. The Reeve trapped inside was shaking, but the one of the outside was grinning dangerously at the boy's reflection.
Reeve shifted his head around, smile just as large as before and looked right up at the blond boy. "The better question is, what are you doing?" He smirked. "Didn't Mommy ever teach you not to talk to strangers, little boy?" Granted, the kid was most likely older then him, considering he recognized him to be an upperclassmen. Unfortunately, the dangerous Reeve gave no shits. Stop it! Just walk away! Leave him alone! He yelled from inside, words not seeming to reach his uncontrollable body.
Now he was struck by fear inside. Someone from school was actually going to see him this way. He'd only been enrolled for a short time, and already his secret side was going to get out. Reeve hoped he was mistaken, and this was not the boy from his Swim Club. If it was, he really hoped he was just another one of the students that didn't pay any regard to the kid who could barely swim anyways. Just leave.... Please.... If he didn't regain control soon, this wasn't going to be the best situation. It was already leaning in a bad direction.

The fact that the boy attended Iwatobi had went completely over his head. Nagisa was in his own little world most of the time and that included at swim practice. His attention has always been completely on making the swim team the best. Which was sad if that meant he ignored the other members on the team. Still he had sweets so it was hard to focus on anything else. While he had recognized the guy from school they barely spoke before that moment. If he was anybody else they might have noticed how weird the guy seemed. Yet like with everything else it went completely over his head. Like those people who listen to others talk when their words go in one ear and out the other. Nagisa stood up straight as the guy looked up at him smirking like the devil himself. Still he smiled naïve at him as he listened to him talk. A innocent tilt of his head followed by his face crunched in slight confusion. Was he wrong when he assumed he was older than him? Yet he called him boy like he was talking to a five year old. Nagisa bounced slightly to stay warm before he flopped down beside him. His bag of sweets set between them as he pulled off his shoes. After he slipped his feet into the cold water he sighed before he spoke. "Well she did but we go to the same school so we're not strangers."The blonde spoke as if he was speaking to an old friend that he hasn't seen in awhile. His attention was drawn towards immediately to the sky as he gazed at the stars. Has the stars always been that beautiful? Nagisa allowed his guard to go down even around those he barely knew. Another example of how naïve he still was even at eighteen. "Want one?" Nagisa offered as he nudged the bag of sweets towards him. Reeve Kasamatsu

Kept on the inside
Sometimes a shadow wins Reeve raised an eyebrow as the kid smiled back at him. Doesn't he sense something's not right here? Now it wasn't just the inside Reeve who was confused, the one in control was just as baffled by his innocent nature. He was even more confused by the fact that even though he'd spoken down to him in the way he did, the boy still flopped down right next to him on the edge of the dock. Reeve's eyes enlarged slightly. What is he thinking? The darker side of him was considering pushing the boy right off and into the water, but he was also slightly intrigued by whatever was going on here.
It felt like something stung Reeve in the heart when he mentioned that he knew they went to the same school. The inside Reeve was afraid of what the one in control might do, and how he might ruin any normalcy for him at school. If people found out about his condition, he wasn't sure what he would do. Reeve was dangerous, and he was worried there would be some kind of petition going around between the parents to get him kicked out of school or something. Inside, he was drowning in the fear his thoughts brought on. On the outside, he could have cared less. The cold side of him couldn't be bothered by school or anything other than himself. He didn't care about being dangerous to people. He liked hurting people.
Reeve raised an eyebrow as he looked downward at the bag of sweets. Cautiously, he reached in and pulled one out before studying the boy's eyes to see what kind of game he was playing here. When he was at a loss, he just turned that devilish smile back on. "You're an idiot." He plopped the sweet he'd grabbed into his mouth, and then reached an arm around the boys back. With as much force as he could manage, he went back to his original want and attempted to push the boy into the water. Reeve's smile thickened, excited to knock the joy out of this kid. Inside, he was disgusted by what he was experiencing. Clearly the blond boy was kind, someone that he'd want to be friends with if he allowed himself friends, and yet he couldn't control himself from being a complete jerk. He was struggling with everything he had inside to gain control again.
